Many people, even electricians, confuse terms relating to electrical bonding and grounding. Unfortunately, if all goes wrong, various serious problems can arise. A home inspector must understand and be able to explain electrical bonding and grounding and understand how they relate to a client’s safety.
This starts with understanding the electrical system in the home. In this one-hour course, home inspectors will learn how to identify the components of a residential electrical system that must be inspected and described under Connecticut regulations, and recognize which elements are excluded from the inspection scope.
Course highlights:
Home Inspection License Expiration: 6/30 every two years (odd)
Hours Required by the State: 20 hours (including 3 hours in current home inspection legislation, licensing laws and regulations) every two years (odd)
Reporting: This state requires course completions to be reported to the state. We will report your course to the state upon completion.
Expiration Date of Course: Course expiration dates vary by course. Each individual course will have an expiration date listed in your account. See Terms & Conditions for more details.
Certificates: Immediately upon course completions, AHIT will provide students with an electronic copy of the course certificate of completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Please refer to your application to determine if you need to submit your certificate(s) of completion. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date on your certificate of completion will reflect this.
